Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling recently triggered a bit of concern around the internet regarding the newly confirmed fact that players can now dual wield in Modern Warfare 2.
When Bowling confirmed that you're able to dual-wield Deagles in the single player campaign of Modern Warfare 2, the Infinity Ward forums voiced their concern about how this would be too overpowering in multiplayer. Fear not, the Community Manager was on hand to put those concerns to rest with a short post on the forums.
Bowling commented, "now to calm some initial fears of "OMG! Overpowered!". Akimbo is limited and balanced, just like EVERYTHING in the game. It's limited to sidearms, harder to aim than standard and you can't go ADS (aim down sights) since you have a weapon in each hand; among other balancing techniques, so don't freak out before you see it in action."
Bowling also stated that a new multiplayer trailer is coming this week that will feature a new multiplayer perk - not Akimbo!
